Swedish singing

This was an amazing singer that i had to record.  i sat listening to him for about 2o minutes.

Stockholm Syndrome part II

So today i experienced stockholm the way the locals do.  I deci
ded to bike  around for the day and just be swedish.  I must say that Stockholm is even more beautiful than i first thought.  I was able to bike around a small island, well half the island, the bike i loaned got a flat tire and it took me two hours to make it back into the city.  It was great.  I also biked to a bridge a few miles outside of the city that has the best view.  I also went to a few farmers markets to check out the delicious fruit and berries t
hat are native to sweden and scandinavia.  Unlike yesterday the weather was perfect, a little to perfect since i had to roll my pants up a bit, because it became to warm.  ha how the days change.
Scandinavian strawberries are the best.  don't the look delicious?  trust me they are the sweetest things you will have ever tasted.
The is the Globe sports arena.  They play sports like ice hockey, floor hockey, speed skating, and handball in here.  It is the worlds largest Globe construction.
This is the bridge that i biked out too.
The picture is deceiving because i was zooming in as much as i can.  I had to have a little fun.  It was funny cause i did a bunch of these pictures and there was about 100 people just sitting around probably thinking i was the most ridiculous person in the world, HA!Wow my hair is out of control!

Drink in the view.

Stockholm from the water front.
All european towns have walking street with shops all up and down them.  Here is one end of Stockholm's main walking street.
Went into this really cool church that some germans built.  I took a little power nap because it was so peaceful.

This is the summer house to the royal family.  it was on the island i biked around.

stockholm syndrome

My first full day in stockholm can be summed up in one word, wet!  It poured off and on the whole day, and unfortunately for myself the jacket i had on wasn't water proof like i thought it was.  Despite the bad weather i was able to capture some ok pics during my Stockholm adventure.
I fell asleep while it was raining and awoke to the sun shining on me and a beautiful fountain that was right in front of me.
Ahead is the shopping district of Stockholm with a big church to the left of it.
The small cobble stone streets and narrow passage ways reminded me of the Netherlands, and Italy.

Right outside the Palace where the King and Queen live.  In the 1500's there was a Swedish king that had no children, being the case he had to pick a surrogate.  Since that time it has never left that line.  The king of Sweden now is called Carl XVI Gustaf and his wife is named Silvia.
Here is a farther back view of the palace.  It is enormous
A view of Stockholm for the sea.
Scandinavia is the home of the Vikings
The gardens of Stockholm are home to over 100 species of bird.  The swan is local to all countries of scandinavia.
This is the home to one of the lead singers to Abba, they wouldn't tell me which

a little taste of heaven found in stockholm

Well this day was an adventure.  First, it started out with me taking a sightseeing tour and getting poured on in the rain.  I was soaking wet, tired, and starving.  I have heard from more than one person that the pizza in Sweden is to die for.  So while i was running along the back streets of Stockholm looking for a place to dry off i ran into this little pizzeria, and i must say that the people here in Sweden were not lying to me about their pizza.
The pizzeria is the yellow building on the right.  The back streets by the royal castle were so neat.  small alleyways and cobble stone streets is what they are made up of.  And of course a great pizza shack.
The inside of the pizzeria was very romantic actually.  Wine glasses and lighted candles were on every table.  It was a great environment to eat in.  I felt like i was at an restaurant in some small city in Italy.
They brought me out this starter, that was for free might i add.  I am not sure what the sauce was but it was very good on the fresh white and wheat bread they brought out to me.

I played it safe with my pizza and got the Margarita.  It was so good and made my whole body warm after being pelted my rain drops.

Las vegas april 09

I dont really care for Vegas that much, but it can be fun when in good company.  But i usually dont like to spend more than a few days there, otherwise it gets to much.  well let my clarify, vegas is fine, but the strip isn't the best.  i would say that vegas should be experienced by everyone.  go there stay in a nice hotel and walk around to drink the whole place in.  its the one place where you can almost see all of the famous world monuments.
Las Vegas Temple.
New York, New York and the excalibur
Paris

San Fran april 09

If you don't like San Francisco that stop reading my blogs and go somewhere else.  Ha but the song is true "i left my heart in San Francisco".  My cousins from sweden came out to visit, and of course the first place we decided to take them was San Fran.  Known for its Wine, Sophistication, and somewhat strange people.  San Francisco is my favorite city.  the weather was perfect while we were there.  what a place
They had the worlds fair in San Fran a while back and this greek theatre was built for it.
the Golden Gate bridge, probably noted as San Frans most known attraction.  it is actually not gold but red, the reason why they call it the Golden Gate is because the bridge is built over the water that is called the Golden Gate Strait which is the entrance to the San Fran bay from the Pacific ocean.
The oakland temple has the best view of San Fran.
Me and my cousin adam after the plane ride.

Monterrey California. December 08

Monterrey Cali is one of the most beautiful places i have been too.  it is incredible.  it is such a cute city with an amazing aquarium, and the best golf courses in the world.  i was down there for a Golf tournament of my own and took a few pictures of the beautiful landscape.  someday i will own a house there!
This was one of the best sunsets i have ever witnessed.  the picture does not do it justice.  i love the ocean and beach's there.
The golf course was right on the ocean and was set up beautiful with spyglass trees everywhere.
They also had a small little lighthouse right in the middle of the course.
That is one amazing landscape, how could you not love golf when you are hitting your tee shot with the ocean right in front of you?
